That post down below is already outdated!! Many things have transpired since August 12th!
Ainsley is now talking- DaDa was first- she said it the day after that last post!! Then NaNa, BaBa and finally she came out with MaMa- but she still doesn't say that very much. DaDa is the word...we hear it A LOT. She is also trying to pull herself up on anything that stands still and sometimes she'll be sitting on the floor and put her feet under her and just squat there on her feet for awhile! It's really cute. She loves her big Pooh Bear and you can just say the word "Pooh" and her eyes light up. She hugs and "pets" him- it's so sweet. She also knows "Bessie" by name now and when we say "Where's Bessie?", she gets excited. She loves to go outside and play on the deck and with Bessie. Well, kind of, she doesn't like the dog to lick her in the face or mouth too much but she does love to see Bessie run after her many balls and such. We are really glad Ainsley enjoys being outside so much- especially Reggie. He wants to take her camping- um, I said not for awhile, dear. She at least needs to be walking!
Ainsley is definitely on the move all the time now. And that little Toot is quick!! Turn your back for a second and she's across the room!! Mostly a "military" crawl, but lately she has been getting up on her hands and knees doing the more traditional crawl. AND, she has found the stairs. She went up two of them unassisted day before yesterday (with me right behind her, of course) and whenever she is down in her playroom (or The Cave as I call it) and she gets bored with her toys she makes a beeline for them. She's good at climbing them too! (Great, right?...we are getting gates within the next week or two!) In fact, we are going to need to go through the whole house and make sure all our bases are covers as far as it being baby-safe. I really think she is going to be walking before her 1st birthday (she loves to be up and on her feet as much as possible) and she will be into everything.
MeMe and PawPaw will be here in a week and a half then my parents will be here in October. Ainsley can't wait to see them all!! (Well, actually I think it's the grandparents that can't wait to see her, but she will be very happy to see them when they get here!)
So, there's a more up-to-date update (!). Ainsley is changing every day and is now more of a little girl than a baby- at least it seems that way to me! (As you can see in the pictures below!!) 9 months next week!!! Cannot believe it...:-)
