Easter, etc...

Although Ainsley had lots of fun with GG and Papa Ron and the majority of Easter weekend was very enjoyable, Easter Sunday, for lack of better wording, kinda sucked for everyone but Ainsley (which actually is all that matters I suppose!) ! Sunday morning started off early with Reggie sick in the bathroom around 4am- we think it was either food poisoning from a pizza joint in the mountains the day before (as I proceeded to get sick around 10am that morning) or maybe a virus (as my step dad got sick but not until the next day). We still aren't sure what it was- but at least Ainsley didn't get anything at all (Yay!). So, with the sickness in the house, of course Reggie's sister, brother-in-law and their kids and his mom couldn't come over in case it was contagious. (My mom and I had grocery shopped and cooked/prepared everything for a feast for 7 adults and two kiddos! And we were planning an Easter egg hunt in our huge backyard too! Ugh!) Then, to top it off, the weather was horrible; cold, rainy and just nasty. BUT, Miss Ainsley got a nice visit from the Easter Bunny and hit the jackpot on candy, stuffed animals, toys and many colored eggs. Too bad she couldn't eat any of the candy- but Mommy and Daddy have been taking care of that for the last week and a half! Here are some pictures of Ainsley on her first Easter-some in her Easter dress, some trying to figure out what all that colorful stuff is and just a few random photos of the day playing with Mommy and her purple Lamby. I will post more once my mom sends me hers.

The rest of the weekend was really nice and Ainsley was a COMPLETE ANGEL. She couldn't have been happier or more fun. (But she is always such a good baby, always a happy girl!) Mommy and GG took her shopping most of the day Friday, we all went up to Evergreen in the mountains in the cold rain on Saturday and went shopping once again on Monday afternoon once Mommy felt a little better. She was a real trooper and enjoyed her time with her grandparents. And, side note, my mom never got a thing even with all of us sickies in the house. Nor did Ainsley, thank goodness.

Then last weekend she spent time with her other grandparents, MeMe and PawPaw, as they were in Monument, CO, watching Kelley's kiddos! There are pictures above of Ainsley with her cousins, Meagan and Macy, and their dog, Shelby. She liked the dog- but wanted to pull it's hair like she does Mommy's and tries to do Daddy's!
Ainsley had her 4 month check up last Tuesday and she is now 13 pounds, 8.5 ounces and is 24.5 inches long! Tall girl!! She got her second round of shots and although she was very upset right after she got the shots, she settled down to sleep in the car seat before I even pulled out of the parking lot to take her to the sitter's! She had no side affects other than a little fussiness, a little sleepiness and not eating as much of her bottles that day. She is right on track as far as growth and is "talking" and squealing and shrieking like crazy and making Mommy and Daddy laugh so much. She smiles all the time and apparently all the kids that go to her sitter just love her. Well, of course!! She can almost roll over by herself- I bet she does it within the next two weeks and is so close to sitting up (with hands in between her legs, like a tripod)! She loves to be propped up on pillows or against our legs- she likes to see what's going on! Basically, Ainsley is doing everything she is supposed to be doing at this age- and then some! She is such a joy and makes Mommy and Daddy so happy. What a blessing.
